Chocolate-Covered Almond Butter Cookies

Soft & chewy almond butter cookies coated in rich chocolate and sprinkled with slivered almonds.

Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • ¾ cup almond butter
  • ½ cup gluten-free flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda

Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup almond butter
  • cup maple syrup

Toppings

  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1-2 tbsp sliced almonds

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°.
  • In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
  • In the same bowl, add the wet ingredients and mix until a sticky dough forms.
  • Scoop out the dough and place it onto a baking sheet. Flatten it down to the size you want.
  • Bake for 12 minutes.
  • Allow the cookies to cool completely.
  • Melt together the coconut oil and chocolate chips until smooth.
  • Lather or dip the cookies in the melted chocolate, and then garnish with sliced almonds.
