Chimichurri sauce is a flavorful, herb-filled sauce that’s commonly found in Argentinian and Uruguayan cuisines. It’s often used as an ingredient in cooking, or as a condiment for proteins and veggies.

Step 1: Blend all the ingredients

This is such a simple recipe! Add the parsley, cilantro, shallot, garlic cloves, dried oregano, salt, red pepper flakes, black pepper, vinegar, and oil to a food processor or blender. Blend until it reaches the consistency you’d like. 

Storing

This can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Ingredients
  

  • 1½ cup parsley
  • ½ cup cilantro
  • 1 shallot, roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup oil
  • ¼ cup vinegar*

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until it reaches the desired consistency.

Notes

*Vinegar: traditionally this is made with red wine vinegar, however, you could use whatever vinegar you have on hand, or sub it for an equal amount of lemon or lime juice.
